Since 2011 Hung Shen Propeller’s R&D team has been working with National Taiwan Ocean University on the development of the End Plate Propeller. This propeller design is very unique in that it has a plate at the propeller blade tip that bends toward the pressure side of the propeller blade. This prevents the tip vortex on the pressure side from moving to the suction side and causing thrust breakdown. This also help improve the control of tip vortex exciting force. Currently, we have the completed many experimental ENDP propeller testing and also collected many sea trial data. We believe this propeller design is well suited for military application, as it decrease the noise profile of the vessel making it harder to be detected.
